What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This book is a follow up to my first poetry book, The Sky that Falls. This particular book intended to provide readers with a lot more poems than the Sky that Falls. I also wanted to explore more intimate and erotic themes and I had a chance to do that in the Valley that Calls. The Sky that Falls contains forty poems whereas this book contains one hundred and twenty poems. I wanted to produce a book with a lot more beautiful poetry and that is the reason I wrote the Valley that Calls.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
This book is a vigorous exploration of nature and the natural world. A lot of the poems relate personal tales designed to be cherished. However there are also some poems throughout the book that provides descriptions of gorgeous and sublime scenery, including about the valley, the subject of the title itself. The valley is an imaginary place created to appeal to our fantasies and where we can appreciate beloved and untouched locations.

I knew he loved me still when we broke up,
The next day he’d show me his new girlfriend.
He’s moved on so soon, I didn’t believe,
When he kissed her in front of me to show,
His eyes were open, as he kissed her slow,
That’s how I knew it’s not love, still hurting.
I broke up with him and he was hurting,
Though he’s kissing her, I tried to cheer up,
Prove to him the pain’s not burning me slow,
Although it was, for she was his girlfriend,
Not me. I loved him, to him I’d not show,
For I was contained, and he won’t believe.
