Of Painted Ponies and Dandelion Dreams by JC Camij @jccamij
by Curator | Bargain Books Under $3, Poetry
As an avid, lifelong reader, my love of sounds and words began at an early age. The thoughts and feelings expressed in many Motown hits moved me deeply, informing my heart and mind of a larger, more complex world laying just beyond the walls of my home. Written words were important, too. In my world, music and lyrics co-mingled with the striking stories of my superhero DC Comics friends.
Eclectic interests led me to explore a wide range of genres: poetry, fantasy and metaphysics. My book is a compilation of stories in poetry form for children and their parents.

My Auntie Jane’s A Pirate and other poems for children by Martin Pierce
by Curator | Bargain Books Under $3, Poetry
There seems to be so much to laugh about these days and I’ve discovered the best way to spread the humour around is by writing silly poems. I’ve collected them together into four poetry books for children; ‘Just Kidding’, ‘My Auntie Jane’s a Pirate’, ‘Funny Poems and Rhymes’ and my latest ‘Tickly Poetry.’
Have you ever stopped and actually listened to what you say? Some very strange things come out of your mouth without you even realising it. Just take a look at my other e-book on Kindle called ‘Idioms and Phrases,’ and you will see what I mean. Whoever invented this English language? It’s really weird!
If you need to have a little break from all these words then take a dip into ‘Comic Comics.’ Pages and pages of funny cartoons will brighten up even the dullest afternoon. I can personally recommend everything I have written!
Just Kidding – funny poems for kids by Martin Pierce

I was born at a very early age and decided straight away I was going to grow up. And that is exactly what I did, I got bigger.
One day I went to school. The next day I had to go again and I had to continue for many years in order to keep the teachers in a job. They soon learnt I was hopeless at counting and awful at speling. But at least I learnt the 3 Rs – rite and rong.
I have a castle in Scotland and a medium sized island near Australia and I have a pet leopard and three monkeys. I also have the bad habit of telling boastful fibs.
People often ask me what’s the secret of my success. I’ll tell you: it’s a secret.
